Buses are avaiable from Rajapalyam to Vadagarai,every one hour. Many vethathikal, adyabahars, jeers from vadagarai were there in different places. Even now VARDAMANA GOVINDA ETHIRAJA JEER SRIPRRUMPUTHUR IS from Vadagarai. Rani mangammal established this temple and palce during her period . The Kovil is by name Sri Rajagopalaswamy KulasekaraAzhwar Thirukkovil.  Here, Vainadeyan (Gardazhwar) is seated in Ekaasam or Sariyyaasam  like Srivilliputhur.  Vimaanam is Ashtaangavimaanam, and in the first floor  of vimanam VEETRIRUNDHA THIRUKKOLAM,and  in the Second Floor  PallikondaThirukkolam are seen.   Moreover, this is the Avadharasthalam of Vaathi Kesari AzhakiyaManavala Jeer,  and His archavikraham was established during Samprokshanam in 2010.   During, the last 700 th Aniversery of Vathikesari Azhkiya Manavala  Jeer, Panneraayirappadi Viyaagkiyaanam of 10th Pathu was released in  the Sannathi by Sri U.V. Madaboosy Varadharajan Swamy and  Azhwarthirunagari H.H.Emperumaanar Jeer Swamy presided over the  function. This temple,  though comes under H.R.C.&E, maned by  Sri.U.V. Periyanambi Narasimha  Gopalachariyar and his ancestors came  here for Kainkaryam  as per  Chendalakaara Dhasar . Both temple and  Thirumaalikai are maintained  remarkably.

Kulasekar Azhwar Thiruvarasu is located within the Temple premises itself, with separate Dwajasthambam, .Lot of inscriptions are seen. They were brought to light by Sriman Thirumalai Swami I.A.S., native of this village during 80s.

Long ago, Mamunikal Vamsavazhi, Komadaththaar, were also resided here. But later they left this village, But their Thirumalikai is there till date. In panthalmandapam, just opposite to Dwajasthambam, Arankanagarappan Sannathi, is there, manned by H.H. Vanamamalai Kaliyan Ramanuja jeer swamy.

Those who plan  for Navathiruppathi Tour, hereafter,  must include this Temple also .We can reach this Temple, after  visiting Thirukurungudi  and it is just 50 minutes journey both from Thirunelveli or  Thirukkurungudi.

Thiruvengadamudaiyan Thirukovil, Vadagari

Vadakarai is a small village near Rajapalayam. There is a small beautiful temple for Thiruvenkadamudaiyan. The temple was built by Rani Mangammal who also settled many Srivaishnavas to live there. Vadakarai produced many many vidwans in the past and also 4 jeeyars came from Vadakarai. The temple is being renovated with help from Adiyars’ contribution. AdiyEn request all to contribute liberally as Samprokshanam is not far off.There is a saying that vadakaraiyai sevikkadavargal vaishnavargal alla. One more saying that “kaadu karai” sevika vendum. Kaadu means Karappangadu and karai means Vadakarai.

  1. The trip I enjoyed a lot in Perunkarunai on 31st August to 2nd September with the lord Varadan, Raman and Avatharasthalam of Selva Nambi. May i pray to god give all our village people, devotees and our family members to give all health and wealth.
